This Polaroid was taken in Vancouver, when I found myself once again standing in front of what once was 784 Granville Street. That address no longer exists, nor does the REX rooming house where my paternal grandmother once lived.
I was standing very close to the stone (granite?) wall, that would have been where the REX once stood. Most of what is captured in this image is a reflection and when I looked at the Polaroid once it was developed, I was struck by how much it made me think about lint.
While in many ways it feels like part of my still, not still process and project, it also feels like something that is yet to come — something yet to be worked on — lint.
